Educational Resources in Rosenberg

Not only is Fort Bend County one of the fastest-growing counties in Texas, but it is also one of the most highly educated counties as well. As you would come to expect with an educated population, there are plenty of resources available to Fort Bend County residents, including educational support services.

The Fort Bend County Library has twelve locations for residents to choose from. While there is no location in Rosenberg there are two in nearby Richmond. Whether you need to utilize an online library, take advantage of various databases for research or even to help you look for and find a job, the library is underutilized when it comes to learning and productivity. All of these services at no cost? Head to your local library branch when you move to Rosenberg in order to sign up for a library card to take advantage of these resources.

Wharton County Junior College has campuses in four areas south and southwest of the Houston metro area: Wharton, Richmond, Sugar Land and Bay City. This junior college offers vocational training programs, academic courses which will allow you to earn a two-year degree and a host of other opportunities that are available at a fraction of the cost of a traditional, four year college degree. If you or a child of yours need to start or complete a college degree, then Wharton County Junior College is a place you should look into.

Finally, Lamar CISD is the school district that serves Rosenberg and Fort Bend County as a whole. Lamar Consolidated High School is the flagship high school in the district and just so happens to be in Rosenberg. Terry High School, George Junior High, Lamar Junior High, Navarro Middle School, Wessendorff Middle School, Wertheimer Middle School, Bowie Elementary, Culver Elementary and Jackson Elementary School are a handful of the other Lamar CISD schools located in Rosenberg.
