Houston Family Law Attorney
Ali Shah devotes his practice to clients in need of legal services related to divorce and other family law matters. His practice includes representation of clients at all stages of the legal separation or divorce process, including pre-divorce planning, informal and formal settlement negotiations, court-ordered mediation, divorce litigation in court, and post-divorce enforcement. In addition, he has helped many clients overcome the challenging legal issues related to property distribution, financial support, and parental rights.
Ali received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Houston. During that time he was engaged in research and clinical workshops while finishing the work on his undergrad degree. He received his Juris Doctorate from Texas Southern University in 2019, where he helped indigent clients at the campus Family Law Clinic. He remains actively involved in his community through pro bono work and is deeply dedicated to providing legal services to the less fortunate. Ali is also actively involved in family law cases generated by Child Protective Services (CPS).
Ali understands the primary barrier to effective counseling is a lack of understanding about the overall process, which can lead to a lack of trust. He takes proactive measures to be sure that all of his clients understand exactly what’s happening in language and terms they can understand. Ali’s legal experience and unquestionable ethics led him to receive Lead Counsel Verification in Family Law in 2020 from Thomson Reuters. He was named Top 10 Under 40 by the National Association of Family Law Attorneys (NFLA).
