Houston Divorce Lawyer | Dismissal for Want of Prosecution

Hi, everyone, this is Ali Shah with the law office of Bryan Fagan. Today I want to talk to you guys about a word that people tend to confuse. That word is called DWOP for the want of prosecution. A lot of people get confused about what this word means and what that means in their case. So I just want to kind of give you guys a perspective of what it means. A DWOP is basically a court saying that they were about to drop the case. If a party to the case does not follow anything, or they don’t necessarily continue the case, then the trial court at their discretion can dismiss the case. And that’s basically what a DWOP is. A dismissal of a case when nothing has been done. To find out more, please read our blogs and visit our website at www.bryanfagan.com. Thank you.
