When it comes to schools, both public and private, few areas around Houston can top The Woodlands in terms of quality and quantity. Most of The Woodlands is served by Conroe Independent School District with portions of the area also being served by Tomball Independent School District. There are 11 elementary schools, five junior high and intermediate schools and two high schools in Conroe ISD.
