Medical Care in The Woodlands, TX

One of the great advantages to living in Southeast Texas is the quality and quantity of medical care available in this area of the state. When it comes to hospitals, The Woodlands is home to Methodist Hospital, Memorial Hermann, St. Luke’s Health-The Woodlands Hospital as well as a a branch of Texas Children’s Medical Center. These are world renowned hospitals with sub-specialties at their facilities and primary care physicians in and around each location.

If you prefer, The Woodlands also has a great variety of Urgent Care facilities available to residents, as well. CareNow Urgent Care, AFC Urgent Care, Davam Urgent Care and Urgent Care for Kids are all located in an around The Woodlands. If you need stiches, a quick prescription or to have a stomach-ache looked at in the middle of the night these urgent care facilities may be just what you need. For those of you who have recently moved to this area- and you’ve not yet found a primary care physician- an urgent care facility may be just what the doctor ordered (pun intended).

Finally, should you ever require ongoing medical care for a chronic condition- cancer, diabetes, orthopedic problems- then the Texas Medical Center is a short drive down Interstate 45 into Houston. The Texas Medical Center is at the forefront for cancer research and care, vaccine development, children’s care, and a host of other subject matter related to medicine. In fact, thousands of people every year travel to Houston from places far and wide to avail themselves to the quality of care available at the Texas Medical Center. Residents of Houston take a great deal of pride in having those hospitals, clinics, and research centers in our backyard.
