Educational Opportunities in Tomball

When living in Tomball you could take advantage of many different types of educational resources and opportunities. Tomball ISD serves the city of Tomball as well as some areas of Spring and The Woodlands, as well. The district is growing by leaps and bounds. It recently built a new middle and elementary school off Grand Parkway just west of Highway 249. The two high schools that serve Tomball are Tomball Memorial High School and Tomball High School. One of the areas that has grown in population the quickest lies outside of the boundaries of the city of Tomball- Northpointe. Located just south of the Grand Parkway, Northpointe has schools within the neighborhoods including Tomball Memorial High School.

When it comes to higher education you cannot go wrong with options. Lone Star College is the most prominent junior college system in southeast Texas and has a campus located in Tomball. While attending Lone Star College you can prepare yourself for the workforce by attending vocational training in a wide range of subject areas. Two-year associate level degrees are also offered. Many local students attend class at Lone Star in hopes of being able to transfer credits to a four-year university. If the costs of a four-year college are a concern of yours after a divorce you will find that a degree from Lone Star College may translate just as easily as a four-year degree when it comes to income earning potential.

Four-year universities and colleges are within a short drive from Tomball. Sam Houston State University in Huntsville as well as Prairie View A&M in Prairie View are within an hour of Tomball. Within the city of Houston are the University of Houston, Rice University, Texas Southern University, St. Thomas University and Houston Baptist University. If you want to maximize your college experience, there is no doubt that a city like Houston will allow you to do so.
