Bellaire High School is the pride of Bellaire, TX. Bellaire High School graduates are known throughout Houston and Texas. Bellaire High School was opened in the fall of 1955 and has served southwest Houston since then. In 2021, 35 National Merit Finalists, 36 National Merit Semi-Finalists, 31 National Merit Commended students called Bellaire High School home. 88% of the Class of 2021 who were surveyed stated that they would be pursuing higher educational opportunities after high school. The city of Bellaire is served by the Houston Independent School District. Local schools include Paul W. Horn Elementary School, Condit Elementary School, and Braeburn Elementary School. Bellaire is also home to The Post Oak School; The Mays School and Episcopal High School as far as private schools are concerned. Charter schools in the area include Challenge Early College High School and Texas Can Academy. Bellaire is within a short drive of the West University, Briar Park and Meyerland areas of Houston that have their own impressive resume of schools, as well. Each of these campuses offer a diverse and engaged student body that your child can be a part of.

When it comes to colleges and universities, the city of Houston can boast some of the most well-known and impressive in all higher education. Houston Baptist University and St. Thomas University are within a ten-minute drive of Bellaire. Rice University and the University of Houston have alumni networks that are second to none in addition to being academically rigorous and selective. Texas Southern University and Prairie View A&M University are historically African American universities with close ties to Houston and our community. Texas Southern, The University of Houston and South Texas College of Law all offer fully accredited law school curriculums all within a short distance from Bellaire.
