From Richmond to Sugar Land and over to Rosenberg, Lamar CISD has a history of producing well prepared students both for the workforce directly from high school as well as for continued education in college and beyond. Lamar CISD continues to grow in terms of student enrollment, but the schools and class sizes have stayed small in population due to the continued expansion of campuses.

Houston Community College and Wharton County Junior College both offer course loads that can help you or your child develop a level of experience in a certain vocational field or can help you earn an associate degree in an academic field of your choosing. All of this can be achieved at a fraction of a traditional four-year college degree.

Finally, For four-year degrees, institutions like the University of Houston, Rice University and Texas Southern University are just a short drive from Fort Bend County. Many Fort Bend County residents commute to these schools and live in Fort Bend County.
