Family Law Attorney | Law Office of Bryan Fagan, PLLC – Dallas
Megan Nordyke is a family law attorney at the Law Office of Bryan Fagan, PLLC, serving clients from the firm’s Dallas office. With more than a decade of experience in legal aid and family law, Megan is dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate some of life’s most challenging circumstances with compassion, advocacy, and a steadfast commitment to justice.
Megan earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Classics from Texas Tech University in 2007 before obtaining her Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2010. Throughout her career, she has focused on representing clients in complex family law matters involving domestic and intimate partner violence, coercive control, child abuse and neglect, DFPS/CPS cases, adoption, non-parent custody, and the division of marital assets and liabilities. Her ten years of public service as a legal aid attorney have given her extensive experience advocating for vulnerable individuals and families.
Among Megan’s most notable accomplishments is successfully terminating the parental rights of abusive adoptive parents to protect the safety and citizenship of a teenage girl adopted from Ethiopia. She has also represented survivors fleeing high-risk domestic violence and human trafficking situations, securing multiple protective orders and helping clients find safety and stability during extraordinarily difficult times.
Megan’s passion for family law is deeply personal. Having experienced a high-conflict divorce between her own parents during childhood, she understands firsthand the emotional impact family disputes can have on children. Those experiences inspired her to pursue a career focused on helping parents better understand their children’s needs while empowering families to move forward in healthier, more stable ways. She believes one of the most rewarding aspects of her work is helping clients leave unsafe relationships feeling heard, supported, and protected whenever the law allows.
A native of Lubbock, Texas, Megan relocated to Dallas in 2012. Outside of the office, she enjoys sewing, woodworking, woodturning, leatherworking, and a variety of other creative pursuits as an active member of the Dallas Makerspace community. Before entering the legal profession, she even worked as a dog groomer after moving to Dallas—a fun chapter that reflects her lifelong love of animals. Her friends describe her as optimistic, analytical, and passionate, qualities that she brings to every client and every case.
