number 1 state for divorce

Without a Prenup, the State Decides... Not you.

Here’s the truth most couples ignore: in Texas, if you don’t have a legally valid prenuptial agreement, the state decides how your assets, debts, and property get divided. Not you. Not your fiancé. The state. And once the process starts, it’s expensive, stressful, and often bitter.

Your Free Prenuptial Agreement Checklist Is the First Step to Peace of Mind.

That’s why we created the Free Prenuptial Agreement Checklist: a straightforward guide that shows you exactly what needs to be addressed before you say “I do.” From protecting personal assets and clarifying property rights to ensuring spousal support and inheritance plans are clear, this checklist is your roadmap to peace of mind.

A Prenup Isn't About Doubt, It's About Trust and Transparency

You don’t have to choose between love and protection. A prenup isn’t about planning for failure; it’s about building trust through honesty and transparency. Couples who address financial realities upfront often build stronger, more secure marriages, because they’ve already navigated one of the toughest conversations they’ll ever face.

Testimonials

At first, I was nervous to even bring up the idea of a prenup because I didn’t want my fiancé to think I didn’t trust him. But this checklist made everything so much easier. It walked us through what to talk about, what needed to be included, and gave us the confidence to sit down with attorneys and finalize things the right way.

Imagine Walking Down the Aisle With Total Confidence in Your Future.

Imagine walking down the aisle knowing you’re not just in love, you’re also protected. Do prenuptial agreements mean I don’t trust my partner?

Not at all. A prenup is about building trust through openness. It ensures both partners are honest about their finances and expectations. Think of it as setting a strong foundation for your marriage, not a sign of doubt.

Yes, if they’re properly drafted and executed. That means full financial disclosure, signatures from both parties, and notarization. With legal guidance, a prenup is highly likely to hold up in court.

A prenup can outline how assets, debts, and property are divided, whether spousal support is paid, and even protections for inheritances or business ownership. It cannot, however, dictate child custody or child support.

It’s strongly recommended. When each party has independent legal counsel, it reduces the risk of one person later claiming the agreement was unfair or coerced. It also makes the prenup more likely to stand up in court.
