When you request a hearing in your divorce case, your motion will be filed with the judge and their clerk of court. A hearing date would be set by the judge at a certain date, time and location to be specified in the Order Setting Hearing Date. At the conclusion of the Order, the judge would sign the document. You would then need to provide the Order Setting Hearing Date to your spouse so that he or she is aware of the information regarding the hearing that you had set.
