Hi, my name is Ali Shah. I’m here with the Law office of Bryan Fagan. Today, I want to talk to you guys about community property. Community property is defined as any property acquired after marriage. And any property that’s in a community property is usually presumed to be community property unless it’s separate property. Well separate properties are usually divided into several things. Number one is separate property could be an inheritance, it could be a gift, or it could be property that was acquired before marriage. Usually the burden is on the person claiming separate property to prove that this property is not part of the community state and it shouldn’t be up for division. To learn more about community property and division of assets in a divorce, please be sure to visit our website at www.Bryangagan.com and be sure to read our blogs on community property. Thank you.
