Attorney | Law Office of Bryan Fagan, PLLC – Austin

Rebecca O’Connor is an attorney at the Law Office of Bryan Fagan, PLLC, serving clients from the firm’s Austin office. Rebecca focuses her practice on estate planning and probate matters, bringing both professional experience and personal insight to her work with individuals and families preparing for the future.

Rebecca earned her Bachelor of Music from the University of South Alabama in 1997 before pursuing her legal education at Florida State University (2008). She is also continuing her academic journey through further legal studies. Her career includes experience in private practice and work with the Texas Department of Insurance, providing her with a well-rounded understanding of regulatory and estate matters.

Rebecca’s path into estate planning was deeply personal. After experiencing the complications that arose following her mother’s passing due to the absence of a will, she became committed to helping families avoid unnecessary hardship by creating thoughtful, proactive plans. She understands that even small estates can present significant challenges without proper documentation, and she works to ensure her clients have clarity, protection, and peace of mind.

Originally from Alabama, Rebecca has lived in multiple states including Florida, Georgia, North Dakota, Nebraska, and Illinois before settling in Austin. Before entering the legal profession, she was an elementary music teacher and a competitive piano player—experiences that shaped her creativity, discipline, and ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.

Outside of her legal practice, Rebecca enjoys crafting, playing piano, and spending time with her husband, Mike, and their cat, Ethel. Her friends describe her as intelligent, creative, and a bit silly—qualities that bring both professionalism and warmth to her client relationships.
